The Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company would like to thank all the dancers who came for auditions - we had a phenomenal pool of talent to work with, and we are excited to announce that our program will be growing to accommodate the increased interest.

As a side note, some of our applicants did not print their names clearly on their applications. We have done our best to decipher their names in the following list, and apologize for any mistakes. If you are on the following list, please wait for an email from us. If you do not receive an email by Sunday 2/6, please follow up with us.

After you have auditioned for and been accepted by the Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company for a dancing position, you begin the process of accepting your offer by sending an email to webmaster@claremontballroom.org from your preferred email address with your name in the body of the email and the subject "New Account".

Please add @claremontballroom.org to the safelist for your email.

Dancing with the Claremont Stars returns for its third annual appearance at the Claremont Colleges. It's open to faculty, staff, and administrators at the Claremont Colleges, and will be part of the upcoming Claremont Dance festival. Dancing with the Claremont Stars is a program put on by the Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company that teaches faculty, staff, and administrators at the Claremont Colleges to dance and then lets them compete in a grand showcase at the end. More information is available in the participant information booklet [Word document]. Interested in participating, or know someone who you think should be competing? Download the application form [Word document] and submit it by Friday, October 17th, 2008 to be considered. Anyone eligible can do it, and it's lots of fun!

Join us This Friday for a special Salsa Game Night in Ducey Gym at CMC! After Salsa lessons from 8-9 (we offer three levels: First-Timer, Beginning, and Intermediate/Advanced), we’ll have open dancing and fun dance games until midnight. Come dance for a chance to win great prizes! This event is free, although concessions will be available for purchase. All proceeds go towards the Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company’s community outreach by helping us put on events just like this one.

If you want to get warmed up before Salsa, come to Friday evening Social Dancing from 6-8PM in Ducey Gym at CMC.  At Social we dance Swing, Standard, Latin, Blues, and more.  Come practice what you're learning in class, learn new dances and new moves, meet other social dance enthusiasts, and request your favorite dances!

The Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company is officially turning 10! With 6 national championships and multiple regional awards under its belt, the company has a long history of excellence, quality, and tons of fun. So, we're celebrating our birthday and you're invited!

April 11 from 8-12 in Pomona's Edmunds Ballroom. FREE and all invited. Birthday cake to be served.

There will be a surprise dance lesson from 8-9. (Shhh, we're not telling!) Stay for dancing from 8pm-midnight and performances by our Campus and Tour Teams at 10pm.

There will be music for salsa, swing, cha cha, hustle, polka, foxtrot, lindy, waltz, letkiss and much more.

Birthday attired encouraged (uhum...as long as it includes actual attire).

This 10th birthday celebration is our Concert 2008 kick-off event. We hope that you will attend our 10th Anniversary Concert, "Celebrating 10 Years of Dance" as it's sure to bring back many memories and a selection of amazing choreography. We've have Concert 2008 tickets for sale at this event.

CCBDC’s last competition of the semester will be the UCR competion this weekend, April 12. The Orange Blossom Ball opens at 9am and ends with team matches at 8:30pm. Many CCBDC members from both campus and tour team will perform this weekend, and both CCBDC’s Harry Potter Medley and CCBDC’s Made in the 80s Medley will compete in the Formation team event that begins at 7:30pm. If you have not had the opportunity to attend a competition, I would encourage you to catch a ride and come cheer our school on. For more information, contact david.carrington@claremontballroom.org.
